Room with a View

David & Teresa, have spectacular views overlooking the grounds of Appuldurcombe House. The landscape was designed by the world renowned Capability Brown so our clients often spend time at the front of their property. It also meant that we didn’t have to look far for any inspiration

• improve the client space for entertaining and relaxing
• make access to the front of the property easier
• rejuvenate the paved area by replacing the existing slabs with riven paving
• redesign a separate section consisting of a concrete path and small area of grass rendered unusable by an unwelcome colony of ants
• build steps to lead directly from the driveway to avoid shortcuts being taken over their grass

• we removed the existing patio and repaved it
• a new raised patio was created which doubled the usable space available
• two large foundation flower beds were formed to allow for planting to soften the overall look & feel
• the feature steps we constructed improved access to the front door providing visitors with an easier route. It certainly pleased the postman no end!
